Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I am a gay/trans-rights activist, spent high school forming a small private school's first Gay/Straight Alliance, & college canvassing neighborhoods for the HRC. I work hard to make sure my kids don't use/see labels --- which is incredibly difficult in the small, nearly-all-white Protestant town that I live in. I also spend a few evenings a week working for the United Way & their various fundraisers and volunteering at the various organizations that the United Way supports. I am an actress in a local theater company, and love the joy it brings to our audience members.
Why are you participating?:

I've worked against labels my whole life. I hate that when people see me they assume things. I think it's wonderful that this project is working to make people see beyond what is in front of their face and into the person that lies beneath. Sometimes the labels are right.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I took some time to connect with my Mom's elder neighbor at the grocery store, he has always impressed me the few times I have seen him as he seems to really care about taking care of himself and his yard/home. Connecting with other and nature, I find is Heaven on Earth!
Why are you participating?:

Happiness and peace prevail over evil any day! A pleasure to make this statement for all to see!

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I'm an International Development and Social Change major. I really hope to use it in some beneficial way, to help people and reduce the great amount of suffering in the world. I'm particularly interested in health, especially sexual health. I am a sexual educator on my college campus. I am also extremely interested in studying the relationship between economic development, health, and the environment. I want to devote my life to something good, and am working hard to achieve that.
Why are you participating?:

I think one of the most essential ways to improve our society is to encourage others to embrace egalitarianism - or the belief that everyone is equal in fundamental worth, no matter what labels society gives them.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I try to treat every person with respect.
Why are you participating?:

It is so valuable to see that the world has so many people with varied interests and stories and a good lesson to never judge another for their choices.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
Adopted three beautiful children to give them a better life than they may have had without parents. Donate to charities when I can. Teach my children to behave, be well mannered and respectful.
Why are you participating?:

I want the world to be much better than it is now.
