Pass the Feather

Sharing & Experiencing Indigenous Culture

The No Evil Project is collaborating with Native Heritage New England to increase visibility and show the current traditions and cultures of Indigenous and First Nations People. Contrary to the belief that Indigenous people were only in the past, the tribes are still here. Indigenous people have active roles in their communities, a wide array of careers, while still living the traditions and culture of their ancestors. Together we will raise awareness and challenge stereotypes of Indigenous and First Nations People.

Along with traveling exhibits featuring our traditional photos of people and their good deeds, there will be a series of accompanying events. Learn more about Indigenous cultures firsthand from leaders, elders, and youth in the community, and discover both unique aspects and the things you have in common.

Our ultimate goal is to provide an immersive experience to learn about indigenous culture by hosting a powwow at our headquarters at Pakachoag Center.

Some of the Indigenous tribes included in the project so far are Nipmuc, Mi'kmaq and Massachusetts as well as First Nation Mohawk.
