Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I teach native arts with my sisters at many powwows. We are trying to keep the traditional arts alive. I also take photos at the powwows and share them. Teach the children the old ways. Teach the adults the old ways . Keep traditional foods alive. Grow organic garden and share what I have extra with the elders and others so all may eat healthy. The poorest people have the worst health partly because healthy food is not on the dollar menu.
Why are you participating?:

My child wanted to, so I did too. That and I really like that monkey pin. :)

I pick up hitchhikers.
Why are you participating?:

I think it's important to refocus on what unites us and start from there. No evil? check. Lets have a conversation.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I volunteer for many non-profit organizations. I believe that it is important to donate my time and energy to help make my community a better place to live and work.
Why are you participating?:

This is such a great project! It's about time that we highlight the wonderful things that people do to make our world a better place.

I try to be there for my coworkers whether it's helping them with a piece of technology, managing a work issue, or cheering them up with a funny story.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I am a member of the Outreach Committee at my church where I volunteer for various organizations. In addition, I have organized, and pay for, different clubs (craft club, movie/book club, and game club) after school for those who aren't necessarily involved in sports or music.
Why are you participating?:

As a teacher, I see how labels effect the students I work with. Frankly, I'm just sick of it!!!

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I volunteer with the Cub Scouts (but the Scouts do a good deed EVERY day!)
Why are you participating?:

This project is a great idea. There is evil in the world. But there is a lot of good in the world, too, and it is important to remember that.

Shohini

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
This summer I worked at a non-profit which combats sexual harassment for women. Every summer, I try and work with a nonprofit and do my part.
Why are you participating?:

I think this project is amazing - that across gender, ethnicity, any identity, we are very similar.
