Warren

Chelmsford, MA
United States
Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I volunteer to rebuild hurricane and flood victims' homes in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
Why are you participating?:

I swim in privilege, mostly unthinking, like a fish in water. I seek to bear witness, through service, to justice and peace.

Lisa

Worcester, MA
United States
Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I am a teacher at a non-profit school in Worcester, Ma and I love it. I hope to continue the good fight in education to serve young people in helping them realize their place in this world.

Susan

Boston, MA
United States
Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I laughed with a stranger in the grocery store.
Why are you participating?:

Age has allowed me to evolve, experience has helped me see all kinds of connections with people, life has given me more than I ever dreamed was possible, most especially a loving family. I am blessed.

Ronald

Worcester, MA
United States
Tell Us Your Good Deed:
Serve the homeless and disadvantaged with Worcester Fellowship.
Why are you participating?:

Visited booth at Worcester Pride and liked the idea of the program. I am an openly gay man and have been discriminated against on many occasion. I am also very spiritual, not religious, and religious people find that hard to accept.

Kevin

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I have been a volunteer referee for the town youth basketball league for over 15 years, and continue even though I have not had kids in the program for the past 8 years.

Bill

Worcester, MA
United States
Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I taught my kids to ask, "What can I do to help?" I try to live up to that myself; sometimes it involves jumper cables on a dark and stormy night, and sometimes it doesn't need to be any more than a well-placed grin.
Why are you participating?:

I believe we were put here to listen to each other's stories, and to help each other along in the parade of life. Applications for free hugs are always given serious attention.
