Missy

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I'm always willing to listen and share my story if it means helping someone else through the dark.
Why are you participating?:

It has been hard to cope with being a survivor of violence and preserve the identities that I'm proud of. Labels can hurt and people don't realize how damaging some can be during recovery.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I try to do one random act of kindness a day, whether that's just telling a stranger I like their outfit or helping a classmate with homework!
Why are you participating?:

Because even though I'm femme, I'm still they/them! We need more queer / trans POC to represent and take up space.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I make video games! Specifically, ones the challenge the traditional definition; games that carry a message, that makes a player question the nature of the world around them and how to make the world a better place.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I am the volunteer leader of an organization that educates about LGBTQ+ concerns, creates community, researches LGBTQ+ concerns, and advocates for LGBTQ+ positive policies.
Why are you participating?:

Because our labels while define us also limit us. Labels are social constructs and are not really real.

Curry

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
Planning and holding food drives outside supermarkets, and asking shoppers to buy one thing off of a list of top 10 most needed items.
Why are you participating?:

I'm proud of myself and all the various labels I fit into, they don't describe me, but they are parts of me and shouldn't be shrouded in shame. I hope that someday labels will not be something that define people but help them expand themselves.
