I volunteered at an LGBT youth group for a majority of my teens years, five years. I think about all the times I couldn't find queer resources as an adolescent, and it makes me glad I could help so many kids.

We are changing the plumbing code so all the single stall restrooms can be gender neutral and I am the Regional Director of Organization Intersex International do peer support work, and advocate for people who are intersex.

One thing people may not expect to hear about someone that looks as I do is that I have helped to raise 5 children that weren't even mine. Things are NOT always what they seem, and judgments are just that.
Why are you participating?: 

It seemed like an honest and kool project. Any time someone takes the time to actually approach me instead of judging me from a distance, I feel it is worth to give back that time from my side as well.

I live in a place where more often than not parents are busy working a lot of hours are not sufficient in English to help their children on their homework. At a local church I helped tutor students in both math and writing from kindergarten to the 6th grade.
