Tell Us Your Good Deed:
My good deed is always giving back. Always helping the less fortunate! It's amazing what the smallest gesture can do for someone who wasn't having the best day. A smile is contagious!! :)
Why are you participating?:

I'm participating because this is an awesome project. It's nice to see people of all ages supporting positivity. It's nice to read the different labels people put.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I am a very visible person. By size, personality, inclination and training. I've spent my whole life learning how to entertain people; to make them laugh, cry, feel and think. I enjoy moving people, making them pay attention and listen. Ever since I came out as trans (and queer, and poly and a number of other things too), I have tried to use my voice and my visibility not merely to entertain (though that's certainly worthwhile too), but to change our communities and our society, to change the world. To amplify the voices of marginalized people who lack the ability to make others listen. To be visible so that others who are not so comfortable in the harsh glare of the spotlight don't have to be. So this world may be a better, happier, safer place for those who might not have a voice like mine. To put this philosophy into practice, I work with a number of advocacy and outreach organizations. I also speak, perform and write about gender and sexuality. And sometimes I even get to make people just laugh too!
Why are you participating?:

I am participating because I believe that being visible; seeing, hearing, and speaking out about the evil I see in the world; is the right thing to do. This project and these photos are a literal interpretation of that philosophy.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I do chores to help my teacher.
Why are you participating?:

It is uncomfortable to see people being angry with each other, so I want to help people not be angry with each other.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I sacrificed everything I knew back home in California to travel the world to promote what art can really do for all of us. Without passion there can be no inspiration. Art to me is whatever you're passionate about. Mine is being a bboy teaching others about life on and off the dance floor. Showing hope to those that feel hopeless. To me society forgot how to show empathy.
Why are you participating?:

To do more than the average and support an idea that could all come together and faces the problems that are more important.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
Facilitating a freshmen group in which students have a voice in the school. The restorative justice program has helped students problem solve, persevere, and collaborate with staff/principals.
Why are you participating?:

I am a firm believer in the community coming together for a common goal.
