Tell Us Your Good Deed:
When I was a junior in high school, I founded a non-profit organization called Root Rescue. It provides health and beauty care products to local shelters and families in need. I know first hand that a person's outward appearance and hygiene are directly related to their confidence. I grew up in a family of substance abuse and my parents refused to provide the money for hair and skin related products. It's difficult to go into the world, whether it's school or the work force, without feeling confident about your appearance. Root Rescue is resource that helps build confidence in people's identity. I hope one day to make it a nation-wide organization.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
My boyfriend and I were out to eat, when I noticed the man behind us was eating alone. I paid for his meal. It made his night.
Why are you participating?:

I love this project and the idea of eradicating judgment and stereotypes.
