Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I pulled a kid out of a frozen pond in Elm Park. Here's the story. I was walking around the ponds at Elm Park in the middle of Winter. It was a cold Winter but the weather had been warmer than normal over the last few days. The ponds had frozen over previously and two kids were running around on the ice. I was walking by the larger pond when one of the kids broke through the ice and went into the water. I slid out onto the ice, laid down and tried to pull him out. Sadly, I didn't brace properly and I went into the water as well. The pond was only a few feet deep so I stood up, picked the kid up and put him on the ice. He ran back to shore and stood by his friend. I had to break my way through the ice to get back to shore. The kid seemed fine and lived a few blocks from the park so he ran home.
Why are you participating?:

Because it's fun.
