Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I engage with my community to do projects that improve life in the City of Fitchburg, most recently as the Chairman of the Fitchburg Cultural Council. You'll find me regularly volunteering at events & festivals, neighborhood clean-ups, Holiday Decorating Committee, Friends of Fitchburg Dogs & Dog Park, Fitchburg Farmer's Market and many more. I also use my time and talents to mentor and coach artists, individuals and businesses to be successful and connect people and groups together for a common cause.
Why are you participating?:

I support programs that showcase the diversity of the community. Arts and culture are anchors that pull diverse groups of people together. More projects like these need to happen more frequently to tear down the walls of discrimination and misunderstanding.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
On the day I received my graduate degree from FSC, after graduation, while driving home, I recused three baby groundhogs that were stranded on a bridge over a huge chasm and reunited them with their mother who was looking for them off the bridge.
Why are you participating?:

I want to confront the "label" that women who are blonde are dumb.

Megan

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I started a volunteer program at my university that unified college students and Special Olympics athletes. Over the past 3 years, we've had over 150 college students volunteer, and the number of athletes for local Special Olympics have increased drastically! The awareness in the small town has also increased, giving Special Olympics more donors, sponsors and money for our budget, making more and more athletes afford the costs.
