Why are you participating?:
To call someone a "hippie" has adopted a more negative connotation than the term deserves. There is no quintessential hippie, and if there were, I doubt he or she would be hugging a tree in their free time.
We are hippie offspring, blessed with beautifully accepting, loving, conscious hearts and minds free of judgement and hate. If to respect the planet and the earth and treasure the only home we have is something to be laughed at and brushed aside, then maybe we are already too far gone. But then again, maybe we're not.
