Gave money and food vouchers so he could eat. Also gave money to a girl at a restaurant who was looking for an ATM. They didn't have one so we treated. I also saved a duck that someone put in our pond - he was so good.
Why are you participating?:

Sounded like fun.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I try to connect to people who seem alone in public situations. Often this is as simple as eye contact and a smile on the street, or a quick "hello".
Why are you participating?:

It sounds like an interesting project.

Worked four years to bring GLBT awareness and training to the staff of my local community health center.
Why are you participating?:

Bring awareness to a wider community that no one, including those of us who live with disabilities, should be judged or limited by other people's assumptions or prejudices.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I attended an all day seminar about white privilege. It helped me to see that I am able to go into stores without being followed around and will be served within a reasonable amount of time. I expect to get what I need when I interview for a job. I expect that I will be listened to and not judged as representing anyone else but myself. I expect that should I apply for a car loan or to lease an apartment that I will be granted the loan or the lease.
Why are you participating?:

I believe that too often people are labeled based on where they were born their ethnicity or their sexual preference as well as their education and skin shades. I believe that labeling is wrong. I know that I do not want to be judged by my looks, my age, my disabilities my social standing.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
Since I have retired, I am starting to volunteer at various places in order to do things that I have not had time to do while pursuing my career. One place I volunteer is at a clothing ministry where clothing and other various household goods are given to the needy. More good deeds to follow now that I have the time to spend.
Why are you participating?:

As a volunteer at the Theater, one night the photographer was taking pictures and was asked if I would like to be part of this event - so I said yes and here I am.
