I volunteer for the ACLU, walk for the National Kidney Foundation and Dana Farber.
Why are you participating?: 

I am a Heathen/Pagan and follow the Nine Noble Virtues; Courage, Truth, Honor, Fidelity, Discipline, Hospitality, Self Reliance, Perseverance and Industriousness. I am not evil and I respect other's spiritual practices.

Why are you participating?: 

Information is power, and that power is flowing in the wrong direction, toward government and multinational corporations. We must reverse that flow and use information to empower individuals instead.

I've belonged to a benevolent organization in the past (the Rebekahs / Odd Fellows) and will be joining again! I also find cat related things to make my friend smile when she's sad.
Why are you participating?: 

I saw the banner and knew I had to do it. Looking at me I know people make assumptions, and some are right... but some vital ones are wrong.

I'm studying Physics so that I can go into toy design, because I want to create toys that will make kids happy while also hopefully shaping them into more loving and better people than the generations before them.
Why are you participating?: 

I think it's important to see that people of with the same labels can look wildly different, and I also think it's nice to look at people and see that we're all just trying to make the world a better place, in our own way.
