Labels can be both empowering but also limiting. Let's recognize them for the value they bring and not the restrictiveness they can engender.

Every day, people call or come in to the office with a problem they need solved. I put myself in their shoes and help them work towards the solution they want, guiding them through the city's channels and advocating on their behalf. Even if I can't get the outcome they want, I hope I've exceed their expectations of what a City employee will do for the residents of Worcester.

I was bullied for being different, and some of the hurt lasts to this day. I want to make sure that nobody else is ever treated the say way again.
