I use my free time to not only raise awareness for substance abuse and recovery but to make myself available to people in my area who are looking for help finding treatment options.
Why are you participating?: 

My whole life I have been surrounded by friends and family suffering with addiction and have seen the destruction it causes in not just their lives but in the lives of everyone who loves them.

I don't volunteer, or participate in any groups, but I always try to spread kindness, and pay it forward. Being kind, and good to others is what I love for.
Why are you participating?: 

I believe that you don't know what other people are going through so why not be kind to everyone? You could save a life, or make someone's day a little brighter.

I recently raised over $400 for the UMass Cancer Research facility. And it was simple, just ask. This is something I think we should all be a little more open to, asking and receiving as well as hearing and giving. Finding needs and filling them, whether it be a favor for a friend or defending the rights of strangers.
Why are you participating?: 

I think its important to realize that while we categorize ourselves every day: by which bathroom we use, by which sports team we cheer for, by what we order at a restaurant, it's not those things that define us but rather the way they fit together in their own unique jig saw puzzle to make e

I went on a mission trip to Mexico to help build a church. It was a beautiful experience that I will never forget. ^_^

It really takes a toll on your self esteem when you feel judged about your weight. I am learning to love my body even if it doesn't meet society's standards.
