Tell Us Your Good Deed:

I participated in numerous community service construction and donation projects through the boy scouts of America.

Why are you participating?:

People always take one look at me and assume that I was a popular kid in high school and that everything has gone great for me thus far, but that's not the case. I was shy, awkward, small, and skinny with a squeaky voice until just before I came to college. It definitely changes the way people treat me; like they believe I have no softer or compassionate side. Too often, people's appearances lead them to be treated differently, which then lead them to act as stereotypes suggest someone of their appearance should act. People are more complex than anyone can imagine, and no one is exactly what they seem.
