Why are you participating?:
My son is from Ghana. In Ghana he experienced discrimination because his mother was unmarried and they were poor. He came to the US (San Francisco) when he was 14 with a soccer team. His Mom told him not to come back to Ghana so he traversed this country for a year and wound up in Worcester where my wife met him at South High. In the United States he learned about discrimination based solely on the color of his skin. He has been followed at department stores, he has routinely been pulled over by police for no apparent reason and he has heard racial epithets direct towards his friends who are black and himself.
