I volunteer as often as I can for non-profits and donate regularly to various charities even though my personal budget is very tight. I also teach self defense courses to women for free based on my 30+ years of martial arts experience.
Why are you participating?:
I don't fit into a box. People are always trying to label me, and so now I own my own labels. My labels change every single day - and I am not defined by them. I'm a tomboy belly dancer who loves glitter and sparkles, and will wear them while I physically or verbally kick ass and take names to stand for myself and for others who need help or cannot stand for themselves for whatever reason. I will not remain quiet when I see injustice, and I will not be defined by what people see when they look at me.
