Tell Us Your Good Deed:

I'm passionate about social justice issues so I try to educate myself and others on fair trade, sustainability, and privilege. I served in the Peace Corps in Paraguay, South America from 2001-2003. I love to serve others and I am fortunate enough to continue service work in my current job. I volunteer every year to lead a service trip for students in and outside of the U.S.

Why are you participating?:

I am proud to be a Latina female Divorcee and I wear those labels without an apology. They have made me who I am today, but I know I am also more than that I encourage everyone to know their story and tell others their story. "I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." Dr. MLK Jr.
