Tell Us Your Good Deed: 
As a volunteer, I taught math to women seeing their GED (equivalent of a US high school diploma). Most of the women had never felt like they could do math. They were a great group, worked hard, and every one of them passed their math GED. They became comfortable with doing math.
Why are you participating?: 

I think it's important to acknowledge that being a white person brings privilege with it. I felt that choosing "white" as a label might be misinterpreted, so I chose "privileged."

I volunteered for Humane Society of Montana, took a dog to chill at my home and later the dog got adopted.
Why are you participating?: 

Despite labels, one should be open to listen to others.
