Tell Us Your Good Deed:
Ordered sweatshirts for not just my staff but all departments.
Why are you participating?:

My philosophy about labels is I'm not a fan of the negativity of labels. All of us are just the same - no better than anyone else. It is the lens we look through and how we interpret - if it's negative then change the angle and lens until it lifts you up and empowers you.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I mentor my international ESL students after they have left my classroom and transition into university life in America. I do this because people helped me (and my family) feel at home in my worldly travels. Knowing someone cares about you really helps when adjusting to a new culture.
Why are you participating?:

People don't think of me as Puerto Rican because I'm "only a quarter" or have freckles, but I have always felt my PR heritage strongly and have always proudly listed it first when stating my Heinz57 American genetic makeup.

Tell Us Your Good Deed:
I gave up over $1,000 in scholarships to the person who won second place because they needed the money much more than I did.
Why are you participating?:

I just try to put my best foot forward and keep true to myself. Therefore I am not ashamed of my labels and who I am.
