A Little bit about me.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Francisco “Cisco” Sanchez received his early dance training at the age of six at The Dance School Vaylux in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Studying under Director Eddie Diaz, Francisco trained at Vaylux Dance, Ballet de Concierto, Broadway Dance Center, among many other dance centers. He has performed in Ballet de Concierto Productions such as The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, and many more. Francisco has also performed locally, appearing in The Nutcracker produced by The Ballet Arts Worcester at the Hanover Theater. Francisco began teaching dance at the age of 13, instructing a hip hop class offered at the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico.

Francisco has worked with the community in Worcester and the Worcester Public Schools in their arts program as well as with many dance studios in the New England Region. He has recently become Artistic Director of his own dance program at the Greendale Family Branch YMCA in Worcester, donning the name “Dance Madness.” He has trained with master teachers such as Eddie Diaz, Carlos Cabrera, Dereck Mitchell, Tony Bradfords, Kat Wildish, and many more. After spending years of training in dance schools and traveling to New York City to complete advanced training, he continues to expand his education by obtaining a certification in childhood psychology and counseling in order to advance his career to include instruction as well as performing. Francisco’s broad range of dance pedagogy, in addition to his passion for movement, makes his classes an inspiring experience.
