First off, thanks for wanting to participate in the No Evil Project. I look forward to seeing what you have to share. Here are some tips that will help you out with your submission.
If you don't already have one, you'll need to create an account. This will let you edit your set information later. Although you can submit photos for multiple people, it works best if everyone creates an account for themselves.
The Photos
Dress like you normally would. If you normally wear t-shirts, this isn't a time for a suit since these photos are about how the world sees you. If you want to exaggerate your style for the photos, though, by all means, have fun. The only thing I ask is that you keep the photos family friendly and please try to avoid wearing things with logos or branding on them unless it's approved, so we don't have to deal with blurring stuff.

Since the poses require both hands, the easiest way to take your photos is to find a buddy that's not evil either. Then you can convince them to submit their photos as well and take turns photographing each other. If you have a tripod and a camera with a timer or a remote, that works too. Or if you're really talented and can hold the camera with your feet and hit the shutter with your toes, then be sure to select the "contortionist" label on the submission form.
Because the three photos will form a set, you want them to be as similar as possible. This is where having a buddy comes in handy. Then you don't have to move between poses and can just take them one right after the other.
As far as the posing goes, please only have one person per set, and take all the photos portrait / vertically oriented. This is how the system will crop them when you submit them. You also want to make sure you head basically fills most of the top half of the photo, so your chin is about in the middle.
Even though the images are appearing on the website now, if we are able to do an exhibit, we'll need higher quality photos, so please submit the highest quality version you have. If you have the option between using a digital camera or basic cell phone, please use the camera. Also, since they will all be shown together, please submit your photos in color. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Labels
No matter who you are, people have made opinions about you based on labels and stereotypes associated with them. What labels apply to you? Categories include Age, Family & Relationships, Gender & Sexuality, Medical Conditions, Occupations / Hobbies, Physical Attributes, Politics, Race / Nationality / Ethnic Groups, Religions & Beliefs, Socioeconomic Status, Sports & Games, Subcultures, & Technology. We've provided a list of labels that may be used, but feel free to suggest more. The catch? You must pick three. Three words that people may use to label you, but that don't define you.
Good Deed
Everyone does good things, big or small - it's not about bragging. Your actions may affect large groups of people, your neighborhood, or just one friend or family member. That doesn't matter here, just let us know, and start redefining your labels.
Approval Process
Once you've submitted a set, we'll take a look at any new labels you want and let you know if we have any questions about your entry. Once it's approved, it will show up on the site and you can share it with your friends! Don't stress out about the labels and text, you can change them at any time. New photos just need to be re-approved. Let's begin!
Groups
The more the merrier, and we welcome organizations from religious groups to non-profits to your college dorm to submit photos of their members. Each member can have their own set on the site and we can link them together to form a collection for you to promote. See the Groups page...
Photographers
If you want to help photographing people for the No Evil Project, that's great! We can create a profile page for you or your company along with a collection of all the people you photographed, and link it to our photographers page. Contact us to set it up. Once it's ready, just have the people you photographed select your name in the photographer's field on the add set form and the system will take care of the rest.
